It was great yesterday seeing many of you [virtually,] at the Kentuckiana Developer Group meeting.
During the presentation we quickly reviewed software architecture concepts that have been recently presented and then dove into an example file to see how atomic transactions could be implemented in a tiered solutions. Three key examples were shown:
- Transactional behavior of the native FileMaker user interface, editing multiple records and the committing, or reverting.
- Interactive record creation/edit card that supervises an atomic commit or revert, with business validation.
- A logic layer scripted transaction that edits and creates records without the use of any layout elements.
